Challenge
A biomass plant operator faced the risk of exceeding government-regulated greenhouse gas emission thresholds, which would result in significant fines. The company needed a way to predict in advance if emissions would breach these limits, enabling them to take preemptive actions and optimize operations.
Solution
Arundo developed time-series regression models to predict emission levels both two minutes and ten minutes into the future. These models were based on a dataset spanning approximately seven days, collected from 66 sensors. The prediction models were delivered within three weeks and met the company's performance benchmarks.
